She might kill me for this, but I have to give my writer a HUGE shout out, and thank you. If you follow me personally, you know I struggle to spell my own name right sometimes. For me having someone in my court that is talented where I am not, is the key. Ruta has been such a joy to get to know and work with both as a writer and as my client. More about her below!
I wanted to share my BRAND NEW bio, and actually the only one that's ever been written about me. It's crazy to read this, especially this week when I am packing up my very first office. Life happens while you are busy living it, and it's a good business practice to have moments where you sit and relish in it. Not everyday is perfect or beautiful, but those days make BIG moments that much bigger.
From an intimate wedding on Folly Beach, SC to a ceremony in the countryside of Lisbon, Portugal, EmilieCarol has photographed people at their happiest moments. The 25-year-old photographer has only been in business as a professional photographer for three and a half years but has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments. Her easy-going manner puts people at ease, and it’s the reason that she’s able to get the best out of her subjects who unabashedly love her portraiture.
Her commercial work spans several industries including bridal, real estate, hospitality, and special events. After being based in Greenville, SC for two years, she recently relocated to Raleigh, NC to expand the business and pursue new clients.
EmilieCarol has worked with entertainment personalities such as nationally known opera singer David Daniels and up and comer Erick Nathan, an award winning, internationally respected dancer and choreographer. Her work has also appeared in a variety of publications including Anderson Life, Upstate Business Journal and The Greenville News. She prides herself on being able to shoot in locations as diverse as the USS Yorktown harbored in Charleston, SC to the historic Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA. Former clients include Keller Williams Real Estate, The Cliffs at Valley, Tablefields Restaurant and the Commerce Club of Greenville, SC.
She is passionately concerned with giving back, and has donated portrait sessions to various charities including the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville, SC, the South Carolina Heart Gallery, where she photographed kids in foster care who are up for adoption, and the Beach Ball Foundation that supports non-profit organizations focusing on children in Greenville and the Upstate.
She attended Western Carolina University in North Carolina, where she received a degree in social work. “I feel my background in social work makes me able to really empathize with people. I believe that if you take care of the people, the pictures will take care of themselves.”
